The Way to a Happy New Year

    The Way to a Happy New Year

    To leave the old with a burst of song;
    To recall the right and forgive the wrong;
    To forget the things that bind you fast
    To the vain regrets of the year that’s past;
    To have the strength to let go your hold
    Of the not worth while of the days grown old;
    To dare go forth with a purpose true,
    To the unknown task of the year that’s new;
    To help your brother along the road,
    to do his work and lift his load;
    To add your gift to the world’s good cheer,
    Is to have and give a Happy New Year.

Sanders Family Christmas show in Branson

I had the opportunity to attend the 8:00 pm showing of "The Sanders Family Christmas" yesterday. This is a play rather than the usual Branson music show. The audience is part of the congregation when The Sanctified Sanders Family Singers lead music at the annual community Christmas celebration. Set in December 1941, it’s a bittersweet gathering.  America is gearing up for war and the Sanders’ only son is shipping out with the Marines in just a few days. Laugh, cry, and sing along at the Sanders Family Christmas. Appearing at the Little Opry Theater in the Branson Imax Complex.
If you can’t make it for the holiday production, catch the Sanders Family in Branson at Smoke on the Mountain during the 2013 season.
