Blue Star Museums are offering free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families throughout the summer until September 3rd.   There are 28 Blue Star Museums in Missouri.  In Southwest Missouri, there are two: the Ralph Foster Museum in Branson on the campus of the College of the Ozarks and the Powers Museum in Carthage..

The Ralph Foster Museum features exhibits pertaining to the history of the Ozarks, as well as antiques, dolls weapons and items of natural history.  One of the more famous exhibits is the original car used in the TV series, The Beverly Hillbillies.
The Powers Museum is dedicated to sharing rotating exhibits on local  and Missouri history.  During August and September the main exhibits will focus on the U. S. Civil War Sesquicentennial.

Military ID will be required to receive free admission.
