December Shows in Branson


Shows in Branson are filled with holiday music and limited engagement seasonal appearances throughout Ozark Mountain Christmas.
The schedule for December 2012 includes holiday classics such as “A Christmas Snow LIVE!”, a stage adaptation of the award-winning inspirational movie, the Andy Williams Christmas Show, and Christmas with the Lennon Sisters - America’s Sweethearts of Song.  A Christmas Snow LIVE! is at Starlite Theatre thru Dec 29. See the Lennon Sisters or the Andy Williams Christmas Show at Andy Williams Moon River Theatre thru December 12.

Christmas in Hollywood is a special holiday tribute to the legendary film “White Christmas” along with classic moments from some of Hollywood’s greatest Christmas movies. Catch this show at the newly remodeled Kings Castle Theatre (formerly Branson Variety Theatre), thru Dec 31.

And for Branson classics you can’t get anywhere else, check out the Hughes Brothers Christmas ShowChristmas on the Trail Chuckwagon Dinner ShowThe Wings of Christmas, or The Sanders Family Christmas. The Hughes Brothers production has been awarded Branson's Best Christmas Show four years in a row and runs through Dec 29 at the Hughes Brothers Theatre.

Christmas on the Trail celebrates Christmas cowboy style with music, laughter, reflections on the meaning of Christmas, and a hearty chuckwagon dinner. A drive through the Trail of Lights and a trip up Inspiration Tower are included with the show. On the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead through Dec 31.

The Wings of Christmas combines music, magic, and whimsical fun with living Christmas tree decorations. At the Hamner Barber Variety Theatre. Then journey back to Christmas 1941 when The Sanctified Sanders Family Singers lead music at the annual community Christmas celebration. It's a bittersweet gathering with America preparing for war and the Sanders' only son shipping out with the Marines in just a few days. At the Branson Imax complex thru Dec 15.

Branson is also home to Silver Dollar City’s An Old Time Christmas, named one of the top 5 holiday events in the country by Good Morning America and the Branson Area Festival of Lights, a drive-through display featuring more than 175 illuminated displays.
