New Zipline Adventure Opens in Branson Missouri Spring 2012

Branson Missouri’s newest Zip Line Adventure to open in spring 2012 is The Sky Surfer - the ONLY motorized, computer-controlled surf board zip line in the area!
If you ever dreamed of flying like a bird or surfing on the clouds, you will want to check out The Sky Surfer, a different kind of zip line that you can ride sitting down, standing up, or lying down Superman-style. The multi-vector motorized thrill ride lets you safely defy gravity at speeds over 30 mpg in a continuous 5,000 foot adventure.
The Sky Surfer—formerly called Moto-Zip—is one of several outdoor and extreme adventure options in Branson. For others, visit the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce website. Other options include ATV Rides, Segue Rides, helicopter tours, 5-D thrills, kayaking, canoeing, and more.

Table Rock Lake Boasts New Visitor Center

May marked the opening of the new Dewey Short Visitor Center on Table Rock Lake.  The 15,000 square foot facility was built at a cost of $10.8 million, and is sure to be a major Branson Area tourist attraction for many years to come.

The facility is both entertaining and educational for people of all ages.  It includes exhibits that emphasize the Table Rock Lake Dam, the lake and the powerhouse.  The center includes interactive exhibits focused on water safety, flood management, hydro-power and ecosystems.

The building was designed to be at the cutting edge of energy efficiency, building sustainability and  low maintenance.

The center is located on Highway 165 just south of the Table Rock Dam, and is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
